Ah yes, I remember it well

(Stolen from hobbitbabe)

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, if you like you can post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

Remember that late night gaming night playing the "GAME THAT WOULDN'T END" (TM)? It got so late that everyone started getting silly. I couldn't stop laughting when we convinced everyone to stuff cheese puffs up their nose and honk like walruses...

Don't you recall back in the early 90s when we were both serving in the nuclear submarine service? Certainly you haven't forgotten when we were aboard the boat the night we inserted the commando team in the Potomac to plant a certain blue dress in the Oval Office...

I'll always remember the time I was driving home from grad school, hungry and tired and without much money in my pocket, and got stuck at a service station on the interstate outside Rochester without quite enough cash for my gas, and of course my credit card had just been declined. Suddenly a soft voice came from behind me. "Isn't that an alt.polycon t-shirt? Which one was that?" and you introduced yourself, gave the gas attendant five bucks to go away, and bore me away into the service centre to drink tea and look at pictures of each other's sweeties. How can I ever repay you?

I remember...
...when we were first "initiated" by the Church of the SubGenius. They fed us on Burger King and McDonald's for a week, and then when our resistance was low, indoctrinated the hell out of us! I still wake up in fright, having dreams about what they did with those "machines".

And now, years later, we've both more or less recovered. Or so I'm told.

Remember the time that we had the box seats behind the basket for the game when the Rockers won the WNBA Championship? That was such a great night. I never thought I'd see the day it happened. And then the players carried the celebration up into the seats where we were sitting and we got to touch the trophy (and some of the players, too!). Great times...great times.
