Or 'active' or 'admirer' or... I dunno. I get about ten things in and my brain is not even functional anymore with wondering what these things mean in this context and whether I should check them or not.

The system actually gives you an option of which "tag" you want -- you can also select "I am" and "My sexual identity is" and so on.

since when and on what planet has polyamorous (or bisexual, for that matter,) been a gender?

That's an excellent point. For that matter, "galla" is a religion, "feminist" is a philosophy and a politics, and "hijra" mushes up gender with religion as well.

They have changed it since I did it this morning. They've added a heap of new words, and described it as a "sex/gender/orientation" meme - I can winkle poly into that I think ;-)

If you look further down (which I didn't the first time, either) you can shoose what text goes in that space -- "My identity is..." or "I am..." for instance.

What does 'galla' mean?

Correct me if I stray, but it refers to a priestess of Cybele, in my pantheon anyway.

Re: Also see...

I see that I can include myself in these categories under 'spiritual Gallae,' in that my transition and my spiritual awakening were and are inseparable. That feels kinda nice, in a way. I've tended to shy away from identifying as Gallae, as I don't follow or adhere strongly to what I believe to be the tenets of that faith, preferring instead to be a UU who respects and honors them. I didn't want to seem presumptuous in adopting that identity, much the same way that I don't claim to be lesbian, even though I prefer to be in relationships with other women.

So many options and yet.
The term that feels most like a gender-identification for me isn't included.
My gender? Geek.

Found it on the list just now.

Re: Geek?
Cool, they must be expanding it.

Re: Geek?
Further observation suggests anything entered in the "custom terms" box (which I didn't scroll far enough to see when I first looked) becomes an option afterwards.

Re: Geek?
Interesting then, because it means that the quiz is self-expanding. I wonder if there's a negative feedback as well, where terms that haven't been picked for so long, drop off? Should be interesting to see what terms are on it in a year's time.

OT--psst, where did you make the Chibi sue icon? I've been trying to track that down.
