A disadvantage to having a harbour view

There's a gorgeous three-masted staysail schooner sailing around in the harbour that I haven't seen before. (Not the three-masted tourist schooner; this looks like someone's big private yacht.) She keeps turning around and sailing back and forth in the part of the harbour that I can see from here.

Drool, drool.

Update: On further review, the pretty schooner looks like it's actually another sightseeing boat. But a really, really purty one.

We could always go for a wee spin on my teensy little boat (see icon) once I'm back in town, if you like...

That'd be spiffy!

I wouldn't need a schooner out there on a day like today. I'd just stare out the window at the beautiful day, the lake, and I'd just drift off into my own little world. Damned ADD. :D I'd probably start imagining the British Great Lakes fleet out on that lake, sailing off on patrol, ready to harass the US coast.

Maybe what you need is to visualize that view in January. Cool, sunless, slate-gray sky. Any boats in sight are in dry-dock for the winter. The lake is restless and choppy. Not much to drool about that way.

Sorry...my imagination just gets me through the day, usually.

On an unrelated note:

Just saw an ad for a new show on CBS this fall where Nestor Carbonell is playing Jimmy Smits's brother. Some sort of family drama with Hector Elizando as the father. Nice to see he's working again.
