Stupid losing Sun...

GRRR! GNOME 2.0 for Solaris is out now... but Sun built and packaged it to install in /usr/bin, /usr/lib, and the like, rather than somewhere reasonable like /usr/gnome, /opt/gnome, or /usr/local. Which means that there's no way to avoid having their version in your path if you have it installed at all... and it crashes frequently. And dtlogin by default puts it in the front of your path, which breaks 2.2 development.

I am not pleased....
