Politics and advertising

A pollster from the local paper phoned me last night, taking a poll for the upcoming county elections. Among the questions that they asked was a series on my opinions of the advertising that various campaigns have been running lately, and which campaign I thought was being more negative. That made me realize that, other than lawn signs, I haven't seen any political ads this season, and probably won't. I don't watch TV, other than with my DVD player, and I get all my local news from our local NPR station and the local paper's web site.

I did, however, get to mention that I "strongly disapprove" of Jack Doyle, George Pataki, Rudy Giuliani, and George W. Bush....
